Tooraweenah 40yrs of supporting the sport of endurance in Australia, Come and be challenged at the foot of the most spectacular Warrumbungle Mountains, the scenery is amazing!!!

The committee needs your support….. we realise it’s a bit extra cost to travel to Tooraweenah and have reduced the nomination to help you with the extra fuel so you can help support our ride!!!

Nomination 160km - $220 (late fee extra $50), 80km - $100.00 (late fee $10)

Ride base: Tooraweenah Showground ($5.00 per night per horse camping).

Hot showers, flushing toilets. Very minimal powered sites. Come prepared for no power.

Very limited mobile service, SMS Sonia Bonham on 0428 550 909 if needed.

Chief stewards: Peter and Jeffery Bonham, assisted by Haydn Fisher and John Howe when necessary.

Biosecurity: Feel free to arrive whenever you can get there, just let us know if its before Monday the 9th July and if it’s after dark. Horse health declarations will be required on arrival.


  • 10 day temp log from non vaccinated horses in the Hendra risk zones.
  • 3 day logs for those vaccinated in a Hendra risk zone
  • 3 day log for all horses in non Hendra risk zones

You will need to obtain from the camp supervisor and arrival team a second Horse Health Declaration to continue if you arrive early.

The health of each horse needs to be checked carefully before leaving home, while travelling, and after arrival at the venue.

Checks include : normal eating and drinking, temps between 37.5 and 38.5, nasal discharge, coughing, fever, swelling, lameness.

If you feel your horse is unwell please see the chief stewards who will arrange a vet and appropriate treatment.

Start: 160km Fri 13th July Midnight,  80km 5am Saturday 14th July

Cost: $220 per rider with a $50 late fee after 30th June 2018, $100 for 80k ride $20 late fee

Township: can provide services such as feed supplies, petrol, accommodation, Beer and meals.

Track: This will be a 5 leg course and travel over varying terrain which includes soft underfoot private farming country, flat public dirt roads, national park trails and rocky sections of mountain tracks with a few challenging climbs to inspiring views. Very small amount of bitumen in daylight hours.

Ride will run VGIH and will be having 60 minute hold times and compulsory represent off the second leg. Trying to make it better for horses to achieve the distance.

Vet team: Head Vet: Nadine Allan supported by Kym Hagon and four local vets.

Merchandise: T shirts available to order at the event.

The CWA: will be available all week end for meals and the local Coffee float will also be attending with great coffee.
