Course is designed to be technical but fair for all levels of riding.  The 120km & 80km events will travel over a highly scenic course, travelling through the Canobolas State Forest, as well as farming land associated with Cadia Mines.  It will require horses to have an appropriate amount of fitness  to complete an undulating to hilly course and will suit fitter horses coming into the end of the season.  It is a very achievable novice course as proven in the 2018 course with an 86% completion rate overall.

The Intermediate and Introductory courses will travel over easier terrain and will provide wonderful scenery and great riding associated with the 80 & 120km courses.

For the most part, it is very good underfoot, but we do suggest horses should be shod for this event.

There will be plenty of water out on track both for drinking and strapping.  We ask that people only strap out of water tubs that have sponges in them.

There will be appointed crew strapping points were horses can be strapped.   Crewing will be limited to strapping of horses.  There is to be no massaging of horses, exchanging of equipment or administering of substances eg electrolytes etc.

Ride booklets can be downloaded from Matar Stables Bullio Cup website ( or facebook page.  This booklet details all the legs for every event.

2019 Event Timetable can be found alongwith much information about the event.

No showers available. It is envisaged that there will be a full fire ban due to the ongoing dry weather conditions. Bring human drinking water. All dogs must be on leashes at all times.

When you arrive at the ride base, please advise if you have one or more FEI horse entries and you will be directed to a designated camping area which will be in line of sight of the vetting ring.

Catering/canteen by Black Apron Catering, Orange will open from 10.00 am – 5.30pm Saturday.  The canteen will re-open at 3.30am on Sunday for bacon & egg rolls, etc and tea & coffee.  Pre booked lamb on the spit dinner on Saturday night commencing after the pre-ride talk.  Tickets for this can only be purchased on the nomination site.

Canobolas Endurance Riders Club will host a happy hour prior to the dinner, featuring local prize winning Angullong wines, as well as beer.
